- Good luck to Hannah Froehle (’13), who is beginning a Master’s in Economics and Management Sciences at the Humboldt University in Berlin. She graduated Hopkins with honors in German, for the thesis “Digging Beneath the Rubble: Ernst Jünger’s Kriegsmythos.”
- Chaconne Martin-Berkowicz (’17) spent a month in Berlin this past summer sponsored by a Max Kade summer research grant. She found materials in various archives for her thesis “The allure of beauty and film stardom for women living during the Weimar Republic.”
- Congratulations to John Schwarcz (’17), who received a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship for 2017-2018 to Saxony, Germany.
- John was a member of the Delta Phi Alpha German Honors Society (The Johns Hopkins Chapter of Delta Epsilon). Congratulations to the other members of the German Honors Society who graduated last May: Harry Burke, Kirsten Burke, and Melissa M. Staley.
