Representation and Power / Pouvoir et Représentation

On March 9 and March 10, 2017, the Centre pluridisciplinaire Louis Marin at JHU is pleased to celebrate its 25th anniversary by honoring its namesake, the French semiotician, literary critic, and historian of ideas Louis Marin (1931-1992).

The international colloquium “Power and Representation/Pouvoir et représentation” brings together a dozen scholars from France, Italy, Germany, and the United States to assess the rich intellectual legacy of Marin, who taught at Johns Hopkins from 1974 to 1977 and from 1984 to 1989.
